Mr. Rodman Ross started in the automotive service field almost 40 years ago when his father introduced him to the business at the age of 19. At the time, he was a geophysical draftsman who wanted to join the family business to be a part of the growing field of automotive services. Over time, the family business grew and eventually sold when Rod's father retired.

Not long afterward, Rod was introduced to the franchise industry with Meineke. During his time as a Meineke franchise owner, he established and developed the most successful operating locations for the franchise at the time. After contract agreements with Meineke came to a close, Rod opted to combine his expertise as an automotive technician and his experience as a successful franchise owner to create a new automotive service company using his own business model.

During its initial stages, Rod's automotive business was successful offering a wide range of services and types of automotive work to clients. Although profitable, Rod soon realized that the maximum potential of his business was not to be found in offering a wide range of services but rather to specialize in a select set of services. It was from this learning experience that Brakes for Less was born.

In 2009, Rod created Brakes for Less using a business model defined by speed, efficiency, and maximum profitability. The goal of each customer visit was simply to focus on one element of the customer's vehicle. By zeroing in a single aspect and performing with the utmost efficiency, everyone involved in each transaction reaped the benefits of full satisfaction.
